Valentine’s Day Classroom Gift Ideas

First of all, is it just me, or do kids get a little class gift for every holiday now? In Sadie’s school at least they get for Halloween, Christmas, Valentine’s Day and I’m sure there’s another one I’m forgetting. Anyway.

I always try to give something cute vs straight up candy all the time because I know they are going to get SO MUCH as it is. This year I saw these cute little squishies on the We Heart Deals Facebook page and Lizzie shared the idea to use them for class Valentine’s Day gifts. And for under $10 for 20 of them – SOLD!

LOOK HOW ADORABLE THESE ARE!!!!

Adorable. I want them all for myself.

I paired the cute little squishies with some Hershey Kisses and whipped up this bag tag on Canva.

Came out pretty cute, if I say so myself. 🙂 I love Canva – it’s the easiest tool to use for graphics! I also had these little cellophane bags from a previous gift for one of Sadie’s classes and they were the perfect size.

I just cut out and folded the cards along the line I had made and it was a perfect bag topper! Come on – how cute are these?

I’m kind of obsessed and can’t wait for Sadie to give them out to her classmates for Valentine’s Day.

I also found these cute Krazy Straw Valentine’s in my archives from when Sadie was only a couple years old. If you’re stuck for time they are super easy AND super inexpensive if you have a dollar store nearby!

You just need the straws, a print out (found in the link above), a hole-puncher, scissors, tape and a sharpie or pen!

Sadie will also get some goodies just for her on Valentine’s Day from Dave and I, but I love coming up with cute ideas for her class.

I remember back in our day only swapping those perforated paper Valentine’s day cards and that was it! You were lucky if you got a package of candy conversation hearts (which were SO GROSS.)

How will you celebrate Valentine’s Day?

If you have children, do they do class gifts? Do you remember doing them yourself?

  4. Um, THESE ARE SO FREAKING CUTE.

  5. Both of these are super cute, I really love the straws because those are SO fun to get as a kid. I’m totally looking forward to being a crafty parent like this someday!

We don’t do anything specific for Valentine’s Day – this year we’re actually thinking about doing one of those prix-fixe dinner events at a local restaurant. Before we lived together, we used to cook a meal because it was a novelty (it’s not as exciting when you have to cook every day, haha).
