Stitch Fix Reveal – DAVE EDITION!

Stitch Fix Reveal - Mens | Perks of Being a JAP | www.perksofbeingajap.com

Once again it’s Stitch Fix reveal time! BUT this time it’s Dave’s first Stitch Fix!

I am an affiliate of Stitch Fix and received an email awhile back offering a deal to give the man in my life their first Stitch Fix. Dave has often looked for a Stitch Fix type service for men and has never found anything he liked so he was eager to give Stitch Fix a shot.

He spent a lot of time filling out his style profile and writing notes about his preferences and sizing. Direct quote in his note to his stylist, “I am built like a refrigerator.” LOL. He has a hard time finding tops that fit him properly due to his broad shoulders and height, so we were hoping the stylist would be able to accommodate.

Mavi Zach Straight Leg Jean – Dave really liked the fit of these jeans. At first, he was hesitant to keep them but then we went through his jeans drawer and chucked a bunch of them that had ripped belt loops or non-stylish holes in them and these warranted keeping after that. Kept.

Threads 4 Thought The Justin Plaid Flannel Shirt – The material on this shirt was super soft, but unfortunately did not meet Dave-top requirements. If he can lift his arms and the shirt goes above his navel, it’s a no-go. Sadly this shirt fell victim and assuming it would shrink slightly in the wash, it wasn’t worth keeping. Returned.

Threads for Thought The Banks Double Face Crew Thermal – I really like Dave in crew necks but he rarely wears them. He was a little dismayed to see one in his fix but then I reminded him he signed up for Stitch Fix to try and branch out a little since his style is pretty limited. (Don’t hate – he admits it.) We both liked it on, but this one also didn’t meet the shirt test and was too tight. Returned

Hawker Rye Essential Wash Long Sleeve Shirt – This flannel was perfect. The size was great for Dave and it was a color that he didn’t have in his closet. His style card suggested to pair the shirt with the pants below, and the outfit together sold it for him. Kept.

Tailor Vintage Bridgeport Bedford Cord Pant – These pants aren’t cords (as in corduroys) but more of an army green pant without being cargos. These were a great fit for Dave and also something he didn’t have in his closet. Whenever we go somewhere that warrants dressing up slightly, but not a suit, he complains he only has jeans. These can definitely be dressed up a little or dressed down, and they fit him really well. Kept.

(Can we all give Dave a hand for his modeling debut? I think he did fabulously.)

  1. I really hate they don’t ship to Canada as I would love to try it myself and I think my boyfriend would really enjoy it as well. Jordan has a similar problem with shirts being too short, especially once they are washed, and it’s so frustrating!

    • I’m surprised they don’t (ship to Canada) considering how big they’ve gotten here. And yes! I have to wash Dave’s shirts so carefully so they don’t immediately shrink. #bigmanproblems

  2. That is cool that they have a men edition and that your husband was willing to participate!

  3. Your husband is a good sport for trying everything on and letting you post pics! I might have to try this out for my hubs. 🙂

  4. I had no clue they did men’s clothing! I like what he kept… Good choices!

  5. Well done, Dave! Lookin’ good.
