May Stitch Fix Reveal

March Stitch Fix Reveal | Perks of Being a JAP | www.perksofbeingajap.com

It’s Stitch Fix reveal time! I actually got this fix before I left for my work trip but then that event sucked the life out of me so I didn’t get to write about it until now. But I’ve worn my keeps already! Whee! Here’s what Liz B, the most awesome stylist ever, sent me.

Collective Concepts Atalya Cold Shoulder Top – I was so excited when I saw this top in my fix. I asked Liz for a cold shoulder top to try and this was perfect! The pattern isn’t something I’d normally go for but once I tried it on I was sold. I also liked that it wasn’t the usual flowy, boho look that I usually see for this kind of top. And it is also shows the perfect amount of cleavage – not too much! Kept.

Brixon Ivy Linda Dress – This dress was really cute. I liked the colors and was a big fan of the embroidery but unfortunately I don’t find this style of dress flattering on me. Something about it makes me feel like it makes me look younger and not in a good way. The loose top? The waist? Unsure. For something I was only ambivalent about I decided it wasn’t for me.  Returned

Pistola Elouise Rolled Cuff Denim Short – I had seen some great shorts that bloggers I follow had received in their fixes so I was happy to see these in my fix but alas, they were a bit too snug. (Aka I really need to start that diet.) I asked Liz for a pair of Kut from the Kloth shorts for my June fix since their jeans fit me well so we’ll see! Also, how awesome is that tank? It’s so true for me haha. Returned.

DIBA Alita Embellished Thong Sandal | May Stitch Fix Reveal | Perks of Being a JAP | www.perksofbeingajap.com

DIBA Alita Embellished Thong Sandal – These sandals were my first pair of shoes from Stitch Fix! And I am so, so sorry for the photo of my unpainted, unpedicured toes. SORRY. These sandals were really cute and I liked the beading detail but they weren’t a 100% great fit and for the price I felt like I could have gotten something cheaper at Target and cared less about the fit. Sadly, Returned.

RD Style Timbers Split Neck Tunic – In my fix Liz warned me I may be skeptical about this top and when I took it out of the box I totally was. But when I put it on and styled it (barely as you can see from the photos) there was just something about it! It was comfy, weirdly flattering… I don’t know I just loved it on!  Kept.

My June fix should be here next week and I asked for another pair of shorts (hopefully by Kut from the Kloth) and also some army cargo skinny jeans. Not sure those are in season anymore, but I would love a pair. We’ll see what I get!

  1. What fun! I’m not going to lie when I say my new interest in “dieting” and fitness is partially inspired by Stitch Fix (and my cousin’s upcoming wedding)

By the way, I love your necklace. Hamsa?

    • Ugh my interest is spurred by the clothes I don’t fit into anymore. #sad. But I’ve yet to do anything about it so that’s clearly not helping!

  2. I really agreed with your analysis of the clothes you received. The dress was cute in concept but maybe too cute on! Glad you got a few things to keep.

  3. I think the dress looks great on you! I would have kept it. The tunic? I don’t think that it flatters you at all.

  4. For what it’s worth, those shorts looked hot on you! 🙂

    • Thanks! They were just toooo tight! I did get another pair of shorts in this month’s fix that are AMAZEBALLS. Kut from the Kloth is my new favorite brand for bottoms!

  5. I LOVE that split-neck tunic! I had a similar reaction when I pulled a piece like it out of my Trunk Club. Unfortunately the arm holes were, like, two sizes too big for me – otherwise, I would have totally kept it (solely, for as you mentioned, the comfort factor). I might need to request this one from SF! 🙂
