April Stitch Fix Reveal

March Stitch Fix Reveal | Perks of Being a JAP | www.perksofbeingajap.com

What’s this? Two Stitch Fix posts in April? YES. Because I was late posting my March fix and I bumped my May fix up a week so that one is coming sooner than later. Oy! Onto the goods! I had my kick ass stylist from last month again – Liz B.

Donna Morgan Sunni Dress – I really liked this dress in the photo and also out of the box but unfortunately when it went on I wasn’t a fan. It would have been a great dress for work events but I felt like the sleeves weren’t doing my arms any favors and the bust was all wrong. Well, the bisection of my bust was wrong. I’m a pretty busty gal to begin with (thanks breastfeeding!) and that line down the center of my chest made me feel like it was being calling even more to attention than normal. Sad.  Returned.

Papermoon Paulette Lace Detail Blouse – I asked Liz for some floral items including floral leggings. While she couldn’t get me floral leggings this time she did include this top. I liked the contrast of the lace to the polka dots/floral pattern but I felt like the top was very boxy on me. I don’t like things super tight (hi tummy!) but this was a bit too loose. I realized I may have had the wrong settings on tops in my Stitch Fix profile where I said the looser the better, so I tweaked it to the setting right under that – straight. Or something like that. Returned

Kut from the Kloth Kate Distressed Boyfriend Jean – I’m not super surprised that I liked these jeans because the jeans I kept from last month’s fix were also from Kut from the Kloth. These white jeans fit like a dream! I almost sent them back because I already have a pair of white jeans but I tried them on and ooops they don’t fit. So these white jeans were added to the wardrobe! Kept.

Allie and Rob Brent Crochet Back Pullover Sweater – I have so much grey in my wardrobe but when this sweater came out of the box I couldn’t help myself, I knew I couldn’t let it go. It’s so soft, has just enough slouch and OMG would you check out that back detail? I love it. I’ve worn it twice already. And it goes perfectly with those white jeans I kept! Kept.

Collective Concepts Andersson Printed Kimono – This kimono was nice, but the crochet/lace detail around the border of the shirt wouldn’t lay flat and it flopped back and forth. And for me the length was too short – I would have preferred a longer kimono. The colors were nice and the print was okay but it just wasn’t anything I could see in my closet. Returned.

Even though I only kept two out of five items from this fix I was still really happy with it! Liz clearly thought about each piece she sent me and it wasn’t just a random box of crap like my February fix. For my May fix I asked for some off the shoulder and/or peekaboo shoulder dresses or tops. I’ve seen those all over the place and want to give them a shot!

  1. I have a busty problem too. Ugh. I like that dress, too bad it didn’t work for you! Glad you did find 2 items to keep!

  2. Still lots of good stuff in there, even the stuff you didn’t keep. I love that dress! But I think you kept the two best items. 🙂
