The Tim Tam Slam!

Back when we were in college Arielle spent a semester abroad in Australia (#superjealous) and I remember her raving about Tim Tams and I was utterly confused. Tim Tams are a delicious cookie made by Arnott’s of Australia and also know for being the main ingredient of the Tim Tam Slam. What is the Tim Tam Slam you ask?

Sadie was more than happy to demonstrate with her Original Tim Tam cookie.

  • First take the cookie and bite off both ends.
  • Then take a moment to appreciate how delicious the cookie is.
  • Put one end of the cookie in your mouth
  • Dunk into your drink and suck like a straw.

The cookie turns into a chocolately, gooey, delicious mess and its amazing. Sadie was very impressed by this and declared, “Mmmm… that’s yummy!” You can do this with milk, tea or coffee!

As a BzzAgent I received two packages of Tim Tams to try as well as coupons. I was not compensated for this review in any other way besides delicious cookies.

  1. I LOVE TIM TAMS!!!!!! I dated an Australian a lifetime ago (ok, well, 2005/2006 era) and he introduced me to Tim Tams when he came back from a trip back to the land down under. I was HOOKED. Seriously. I’m so glad we can get them in America now. Unfortunately they do not last long in our house so I resist the temptation to buy them as much as possible 🙂 Also, I had no idea that Tim Tam Slam was a thing. I will definitely try it next time I get some.

  2. Well that looks fun to me!

  3. You missed the part where you say, “you drink through the Tim Tam like a straw until it gets all gooey and melty and then right before it falls apart into your drink YOU CRAM THE WHOLE THING IN YOUR MOUTH.” Bwa ha haha.

  4. Welcome to Australia! Now you have to try Vegemite 🙂 I’ve never heard of this being called the Tim Tam Slam, but I know it well. It’s a point of contention in our house, because my husband loves to do it and I think soggy biscuits are gross. I do like to dip them in my tea before the first bite to melt the chocolate though. Yummy!
