Looking forward to…

To steal a page from RA, this weekend I am looking forward to:

The Babies “R” Us & Graco event at the Babies ‘R Us in Union Square on Saturday. I got the invitation to check out Graco’s newest 0-2 yr car seat, and it promises some goodies and a chance to win one for myself! Plus it’ll be cool to hopefully meet some other NYC moms!

Dave making an Indian Feast for our families Saturday night. Dave cooks AMAZING Indian food, and his family has been bugging him for months to invite them over. So Saturday night we’ll be having Dave’s mom, sisters, brother-in-laws, four nephews and my parents over for dinner. I’m sure it’ll be hectic, but FUN! He’s been prepping since Wednesday. I can’t wait!

Taking Sadie pumpkin picking. Obviously she’s too little to do any actual pumpkin picking herself, but the photo opps are just too tempting! Plus she’s always drawn to the color orange, so I can’t wait to see her reaction! We’re also going to do it at the Queens County Farm Museum, so Sadie can check out some of the farm animals. Things are so much more fun now that she’s interested in her surroundings!

And relaxing in general. ๐Ÿ™‚
On a different note, Sadie is barely six months old and she’s already a sneak! I put her in her crib last night, with a pacifier. A few minutes later, I hear this banging noise coming from her room, and when I poked my head in, she was rolled over on her side, by the rails of her crib near the wall, banging the pacifier against the rails. I took it away from her and put it on her nightstand and was about the leave the room when a lightbulb went off in my head. We have had trouble finding her pacifiers recently – it seemed like a bunch were missing. Well lo and behold, I stuck my head under her crib and lifted up the bed skirt and saw three pacifiers on the floor by the wall behind her crib! That sneak!! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Comments

  1. Queens County Farm Museum is awesome! I was just over there a few weeks ago because I had friends get married there.

  2. Too funny about the pacifiers! Glad you found some, though. When my brother was little he used to throw them places and we had a heck of a time finding them! Hope your weekend was great ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. An Indian feast sounds like so much fun! Nicely done Dave the master chef, ha.
