Dear Sadie,
Oh little girl, you are two months old today! (Yes, Mommy is actually posting this on time!) I know everyone warns parents, but I can’t believe how fast it’s gone by, and that you being two months old means that I only have one more month at home with you. That makes me sad. BUT Daddy is home from work now for the summer, so at least we get one whole month together as a family.
One thing I ask you – please learn to hold your pacifier in your mouth! We finally got you to a point where you don’t hate the paci/bippy, but you can’t keep it in there on your own yet. Fingers crossed you’ll learn soon.
Eating- You’re still almost exclusively breastfeeding, but with Daddy being off from work now, that will soon change! We plan on having him give you at least two bottles a day to get you used to it and ready for day care in September, so please don’t give him too much trouble. I’m hoping I can provide enough for you so you’ll continue to only get breast milk, at least for awhile, otherwise we’ll supplement with formula. While you only wake once to eat at night, you’re still going about 2-2 1/2 hours between feedings during the day, unless you’re napping.
Sleep- Luckily you sleep well at night, because that makes up or your fussiness during the day! You usually go to sleep around 10:30-11pm or so, and don’t wake up until 5:30-6am or so to eat. And then you go back to sleep until anywhere from 8am until 9:30am. There was one day we both slept until after 10:30am after your morning feeding, I was shocked/amazed! Trust me, it isn’t perfect, sometimes you have your bad nights, but I’m so, SO glad you’re a good sleeper.
Diapers- Still size 1 diapers. Please don’t grow out of those too fast, since I just bought another box from BJ’s!
Appearance- You’ve filled out so, so much! You have “pulkes” as we call baby rolls in our family, and you’re starting to get plump, delicious cheeks! Your eyelashes are coming in more and are very light blonde, as are your eyebrows. The hair that’s coming in is definitely lighter than the hair you were born with – I predict you’ll be pretty blonde in no time, and that your hair will be curly, since whenever we wash your hair, it curls up right away before we comb it out. And those eyes are a dark, gorgeous blue. Love them!
You are a little bit of a fussy-pants, especially during the witching hours of 7-9pm or so. Sometimes you just don’t want to be put down! But otherwise I can’t complain, you are a good girl. You also seem to have a love/hate relationship with this stuffed duck, as evidenced by this series of pictures:
(top L-R, bottom L-R)
1. YAY Best friends!
2. Wait, actually…
3. You need to go.
4. No really, get the hell away from me!
(She put her arm around the duck, BTW, I just put it next to her!)
Nicknames- I have a lot of random nickname for you – Smushy, Smushy Face, Princess Poopy Pants, Miss Poops-a-lot, Sadiebug, Baby Girl, etc. Daddy calls you his Love, and we both call you Skutchy-Pants, when you’re being fussy.
Also, I think Mommy is getting a little better at taking these pictures.
Can’t wait to see how big you get next month! <3

Dude, TWO MONTHS?! I’m not even the parent and that just seems crazy fast. Are you sure?
She is filling out! It’s so cute to see how much little ones change from month to month. She’s absolutely adorable. And, girl, she sleeps a lot at night! That is amazing.
Keep enjoying her smiles,
Lor
Soo cute! Love those pink socks
I love the little skulls on her socks!
aw she is definitely showing a little personality, love it. and seriously her wardrobe is quite adorable, love it.
2 months already! Time flies! She’s beautiful!
She weighs 5oz more now than my son did at birth lol
I remember Landon LOVING the changing table at that age! When he was a little older, I got a video of him kicking and yelling like crazy on it! Too funny!
Witching hours suck. I promise they grow out of that. You are so, so lucky that she is a good sleeper. My son just became a good sleeper and he’s almost 13 months old lol
These posts bring me back since our kids are almost a year apart. I look forward to next month’s post!
These posts are so great for you to remember with. And I’m glad you are taking lots of photos! I would be so attached to my camera if I were you, how can you not photograph a face like that all the time!
Wow, two months already?! Craziness! She is such a cutie. And so tall! I don’t know if it’s the angle of the pictures, but she looks super tall and lean. Though she still does have those adorable little baby rolls
Happy two months, Sadie!
She is tall! 75th-90th percentile for height, only 25th percentile for weight
I saw a little baby Slayer tee the other day and it made me think of your little one. So…tempted…to…..buy…..one….and…..mail……it…..to……you……!
Those nicknames are awesome. Sadiebug may be my favorite and Love is so sweet; kind of made me all teary-eyed over here! My parents have a list of nicknames for me and they still use them… I kind of like it though
