Menu Monday
Yes that’s right, Menu Monday is a day late this week to make room for my 20SB Blog Carnival post. Make sure you keep checking out the 20SB blog for all the awesome giveaways we have going on this week in celebration of our 5th birthday!

Anywho, here’s what’s on our menu for this week!

Brown Butter Gnocchi with Spinach and Pine Nuts from MyRecipes.com. I love me some gnocchi, and I already had the pine nuts in my pantry, which is awesome cause those nuts be expensive, yo. FYI – A great way to easily add recipes to your menu is to have them sent straight to your inbox! I get daily emails from MyRecipes.com, Rachael Ray and other sites with recipes, and have them auto labeled as “Recipes” in my Gmail. That way, the ones I like are already labeled and easy to find in my inbox, and I delete the ones I know I won’t make. Easy!

– Some freezer meal Chicken Jambalaya is also on the menu. Can I tell you how happy I am that I made all these freezer meals before Sadie was born. Life. Saver. We’re still going through everything I made!

– And Dave is making Steak Caribbean, from the Better Homes & Gardens Indoor Grilling cookbook. I found the recipe online here, and I can’t wait for him to make this. Cumin and garlic make everything better, IMHO. Mmmm cumin and garlic.

What’s on your menu? Do you get your recipes just from cookbooks, or email subscriptions? I get a lot from blogs too, trust me!

  1. I love the idea of having them come right in and labeled! I never thought of that. Thanks ๐Ÿ™‚

A lot of what I make (or that Frank makes) are old stand bys that we love. If I see something that I think we’d like and it’s easy, I send it to him and have him try it (he’s learning to cook still). I get a lot of ideas from blogs, cookbooks, friends houses. Just about everywhere.

  2. I’m impressed. My menu consists of whatever carryout or delivery we can manage to order that night. I haven’t figured out how to cook dinner with a baby at home. Hopefully that’ll change in the next few weeks, as soon as he’s old enough to go out in public and I can make it to the grocery store. A home cooked meal sounds delicious!
