Resolutions, Lacey Bean style

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

We’ve been trending towards low key New Years Eve celebrations lately, and Friday night was no exception. Dinner at our local restaurant with a group of our friends, and then everyone headed back to our house to bring in 2011. There was way too much dessert and snacky food (and I have some great recipes to share), some games of Guitar Hero, Donkey Kong and Mario on the Wii, and Family Guy Trivia Pursuit (it’s amazing what useless information people retain about that show!) Everyone left around 2am, and I woke up with a lovely hangover Saturday morning. Wah wahh. I’ll never learn. πŸ˜‰

As for resolutions, I only have a few. Ones that I plan on trying to stick to as best as possible, without demanding something outrageous of myself:

1. Be a cleaner, more organized person. This goes for Dave too. We are just messy people by nature. Nothing gross, but we could be a lot neater. So this means no clothing left on the floor, maybe making our bed every so often, doing dishes right away, etc. Yes, we have a cleaning woman come once a month, but it’s no excuse for us to be messy.

2. Be more active. Work has me sitting on my butt a lot. And I’m not in the same shape I used to be. So I’m trying to become more active again. I started a 30 day unlimited yoga pass at Yoga Sutra, via LivingSocial, and two classes in, I love it! I want to graduate from Vinyasa to Bikram soon, once I have all the basics down.  I’ve also been trying to use my Wii Fit more, and generally live a healthier lifestyle.  Plus, Dave and I are going to PUNTA CANA in February, so I need to look good in my bikini.  πŸ™‚

3. Cross off at least 12 things from my Life ListI figure at one a month, I can make this happen.

Also, not really a “resolution”, but I want to hit 300 followers on Google Reader.  πŸ™‚  Maybe when I do, I’ll host a giveaway.

Hope everyone had a great New Years Eve!!  I know I’m excited to see what 2011 brings.  Now Dave and I are off to go shoot some guns!  (Crossing an item off the List!)
