I had grand plans to go to the mall today and try to snag me some new boots (I’m looking at these in grey… or in a different color?), but they got pushed aside for bigger plans of sitting on the couch, watching episodes of Band of Brothers and The Office Season 2, and making a mess in the kitchen.

A few days ago …Wearing Mascara blogged about how she made Beer Bread for her boyfriend. It sounded so good and the recipe looked so easy that I made it today!

Beer Bread

And this bread = delicious. I used Brooklyn Brewery beer since that’s what we had in the house, but I’m interested in making the bread again with different types of beer to see how it comes out.

For dinner Dave and I threw together some Creamy Chicken-Apple Chili, cause we’re still trying to finish off the apples in our fridge!

Creamy Chicken-Apple Chili

Delicious and VERY filling. We also have a ton to last us for the week, so if you’re looking for something to have plenty of leftovers from, this would be it.

Tomorrow, after I hit up brunch with some people from my Israel trip, I may make an AMAZING dessert that was just made by my friend D.A.R. And I also have a few awards to hand out! So stay tuned…

Oooh very domesticated of you. I can’t cook for sh*t. The apple recipe makes me wary though – for some reason I don’t like the idea of fruit in savoury dishes. It LOOKS delicious though!

Oh my that looks good. Oh… I meant to tell you, I was at this store yesterday and I saw these Halloween socks and I almost bought you a couple of pairs (they were only 1.09 a piece) but they had purple and green and black and orange. Anyway, I saw them and almost bought you a couple of pairs :D I just didn’t have your address… hee hee.

Hey there!

Thanks for the mention of my blog in your post and I am SOO happy you liked the beer bread. I’ll have to try it with regular beer from a brewery now. I wonder how much different it will taste. xoxo

Beer bread is great! So easy and delish – it sounds like it would pair really well with chili.

I’m sure you’ll use up all of those apples in no time :)
