In the past week or so, Dave and I have FINALLY accomplished some of the things on my “Summer of Accomplishment” list.
The first was technically my birthday party, which again, was AWESOME. We also capped off my real birthday with dinner and cake at Dave’s mom’s house the night before my actual bday, and then dinner at my favorite Italian restaurant by my parent’s house called Da Silvana, with my parents, grandpa, etc. There’s no website to link you to, it’s so small and cozy, and my parents go there all the time so the owner knows them and makes each visit extra special. The food was delish, as always, and then we went back to my house for Crumbs cupcakes!!! Yay!
And then this weekend was traveling to VA to visit friends, where you learned about our traveling misshap.
Something real on the list that was did was our visit to the Botanical Gardens, to see the Henry Moore exhibit. For most of the day it was nice out, so I didn’t mind it when it started to rain and we had to book it from the shuttle car to the gift shop so we wouldn’t get completely drenched. I really loved walking around and looking at all the beautiful flowers and huge sculptures, and Dave and I are considering getting a membership to the Gardens, because it’s just so huge and gorgeous!! And it would totally pay itself off if we went at least twice a year or so.
I especially had a lot of fun because I got to test out my new camera. See below:
I love this one too – these flowers were tiny!

And after the rain…
Sorry for the picture overload – I was just really excited to use my new camera and share the pics!! There are a ton more, over in my Flickr.
Hopefully more Summer of Accomplishment to be accomplished (?) this week – since I have two days off!!

These are so pretty Lacey!
I love going to Botanical Gardens. It’s just so relaxing!
Dave was totally overpowering that rock. No doubt about it.
These photos are so cool! Is that a blue and purple cactus? I am impressed!
Also, happy birthday!

Your Summer of Accomplishment list might become a to-do suggestion list for when I move to NYC!
